Rams knock off Ballard on the Road
The Ballard Eagles, the O-A (Opelika-Auburn) sports writers pick to win the ICSGA hands down, ran into a problem Friday night when they hosted the Colonial Hills Rams. The Ram's gave the Eagles all they wanted and then some. The Rams racked up well over 200 yards on the ground and close to 150 in the air. Big hits on defense were the order on the night as the CH defenders punished the Eagle's ball carriers all night. The Rams only led 26-24 at the half due to two long touchdown passes being called back but shut out Ballards offensive attack in the second half outscoring the Eagles 20-0 to win the contest 46-24.
Colonial Hills will play host to Praise Academy Friday September 3. Kick-off is slated for 7:30pm.
